This Privacy Policy explains how SimFlyMinimums ("we", "us") handles information when you use the SimFlyMinimums application and website. We aim to collect as little as possible.
What we collect
- Account & billing. If you subscribe to Premium, we process your email and subscription status. Payments are handled by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe); we do not store your card details.
- Support messages. If you contact us, we keep your message and any attachments you send (such as log files or screenshots) to help resolve your request.
- Website. Basic, privacy-respecting analytics may be used to understand site usage. (To be confirmed.)
What stays on your device
- Your flight data, routes, checklists and aircraft position are processed locally and are not uploaded to us.
- Your BYOK provider keys (map and AI services) are stored locally on your computer and used only to talk to those providers directly.
- Voice callouts use local text-to-speech and do not require sending audio anywhere.
Third-party services
When you use certain features, your requests go directly to third-party providers under your own keys (BYOK), subject to their privacy policies:
- Map providers — Azure Maps or MapTiler
- AI providers — OpenAI or Google Gemini (only if you enable AI features)
- Chart sources — official AIP / FAA chart services
- Payment processing — our payment provider
Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have rights under the GDPR, including access, correction, deletion and portability of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@simflyminimums.com.
Data retention
We keep account and billing data while your account is active and as required for legal and accounting purposes. Support messages are kept only as long as needed to assist you.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
